KNX China Governing Unit — smart and cinema on one set of standards

ZENE is a Governing Unit of the KNX China User Club. Smart systems follow KNX, PMI/PMP and Lutron HomeWorks. Cinema work follows HAA, ISF, THX and CEDIA. China’s GB/T 20965-2025 adopts KNX as the dedicated standard for home and building control.

KNX — the open standard for homes and buildings

KNX was formed in 1999 from EIB, BatiBus and EHSA. It is the only fully open home and building-control standard, interoperable with more than 8,000 certified products. China’s GB/T 20965-2025 maps onto international KNX. As a governing unit, ZENE puts lighting, shades, HVAC, security and cinema scenes on one bus.

PMP — PMI project discipline

PMP is issued by the Project Management Institute against the PMBOK® Guide: ten knowledge areas and five process groups, used in 206 countries. A villa cinema crosses structure, electrical, HVAC, interiors and low-voltage — ZENE runs scope, time, cost and quality as one project.

Lutron HomeWorks

Lighting scenes for arrive, dine, film, night and leave — same logic as shades and the cinema remote.

Cinema four: THX / CEDIA / HAA / ISF

HAA audio calibration, ISF imaging and THX room practice. ZENE brought the related courses into China and still trains nationally. In 2009 ZENE partnered with CEDIA to introduce its certification path. Jobs leave full HAA and ISF reports. The team holds THX, HAA, ISF, KNX, PMP and Lutron credentials — 60+ certified engineers.
